• Forward and Backward Traceability – customers can start their trace at any process and trace both forward and backwards
• In the event of a problem OpsSmart allows its customers to precisely trace-back and investigate the source of the problem, determine which other products may be affected by this problem and then trace-forward to determine the location of all affected products. By detecting non-conformance early, OpsSmart prevents problems from propagating further downstream.
• The trace functionality is completely configurable by the customer.
• OpsSmart customers can configure traces based on different objectives. For example an accountant in an organization can set up a trace based on invoices, payments and receipts while a QA officer can trace all quality and safety info pertaining to the food products.
